Guess what folks?! I turned two. I didn't even throw a single tantrum on my birthday (but plenty the days before and after). We had lots of fun celebrating at Pa and Gwandma's house.
weekly exploits: not so terrible twos
We warmed up with some bubble popping.
Then heightened the volume with some more popping but of the ballon variety.
Then things really got fun with some "fire". The people let me blow out the candle myself.
And they let me eat too much chocolate cake.
This was the aftermath. Not pretty but slightly cleaner than the year before.
And finally the icing on the cake...a "light queen" (Lightning McQueen) scooter. It was a little bit of a rough start, but I'm on my way to being a scooting fiend.

weekly exploits: San Diego bucket list
Before leaving our little nest in San Diego, pa and grandma came to help us move and say goodbye to some of our favorite haunts. Here are some highlights:
Old Poway park and trains!
San Diego temple, especially festive for Christmas
Feeding ducks with grandma at the zoo.
Sayonara San Diego! We miss you already!

sister talk: I believe in fairies
What can I say, I have a sweet smile and cute coos. Some might call me tinker ell for all the happy feelings that I exude in our home (when I'm feed and napped). Since I'm not particularly mobile, my brother is helping me assemble my fairy castle with the assistance off particular fairy godmother called bippity boppity Bobsie. Without further adieu, my castle kingdom:
By day it is a palm tree littered with pine cones, rocks, and flowers.
At night it sparkles and shines with twinkle lights.
And me! The fairy princess that will inhabit the tallest palm frond tower. Right now I am sitting on my throne reigning over my subjects (i.e. parents) who are at my beck and call to feed and clothe me.

weekly exploits: culinary antics
I don't get my chubby cheeks from nothing. I typically consume a minimum of two eggs in the morning and then nibble on goodies the rest of the day (preferably oranges, whipped cream, and fruit snacks). Here is documentation of my eating escapades:
mexican food:
look! my toes reach the end of the tray!

building straw rockets:
mmmm. thanksgiving whip cream!

sister talk: blessing day
This is what actually happens:
I actually scream (terradactyl style) the second I am set down.

Who can blame me when they dressed me in all this scratchy lacy stuff for a special event called a blessing. I'd prefer a simple white onesie and a pair of footie pants in 800 thread count cotton if you don't mind.
Mom actually screams in return to vent her stress I suppose.
This picture was taken to exaggerated the ridiculum that is getting two children to smile simultaneously. #realstockphotos
Brother actually walks around half naked all the time.

We were all surprised he kept the pants on for more than an hour. The vest came off bc he is such a sloppy eater. And the next morning he pulled his pj top off on his own. I'm surprised he doesn't streak through the neighborhood like his uncle Kelley.
And it actually wasn't that bad. Dad gave Lily a lovely blessing and everyone was fully clothed without incident of blowouts or spit ups. Happy blessing day to me, officially miss Lily Joan!

weekly exploits: aerospace adventures
While visiting relatives, the people packed me up for a loooong car drive. If they had explained that planes were involved, I might have been more cooperative in transport.
We walked around and saw everything, thanks to my speedy stroller driving (no Lily inside!), not thanks to my dad's snail pace of reading and discussing every little rivet and propeller.
I got very close to lots of big planes. A little too close sometimes...I'm my father's son and like to look in turbines and test moving parts.
Inside the famous spruce goose, I mostly liked the beach balls used for floatation.
Just like dad taught me, I touched what I could before the guards noticed. I mean, they cut away key parts of the engine to show the inards...basically begging folks to prod it.
Mom was hip and cool since she doesn't have a giant belly anymore. She flew a plane with me.
Flying and dreaming of being an astronaut like daddy. We're planning on going to Mars together.
A few days later, my parents went on the Boeing tour without me. Apparently midgets can go, but not children under 4 feet because I'm considered potential "FOD" (foreign object debris) or something. So my parents got me a memento which I guess will suffice.
Mostly it never leaves my side now, even for breakfast.
Off to catch a flight! Blast off!

sister talk: Seattle
This was the extent of my experience in Seattle.
Got my bum wiped.
And watched a movie while snuggling with daddy.
The end. My lame sauce parents claim we went to pikes place market, drove by blue origin, and out to the pudget sound. But as always, I saw the inside of the wrap or was buckled in my seat. Though rumor has it I was held by relatives galore including my second cousins...I was mostly asleep. Oh well, I'll see the city and the people next time.
