oregon had wind. and lots of it. nearly swept my dad away in a storm while he spent hours on the beach flying kites. i decided to join in on the fun and it took my mind of the silly hood the adults insisted i keep on my head for warmth or something weird like that.
(editors note: the kite drops out of his hand at the very end. this happened multiple times when he saw a shell or got distracted but his kite flying was just so ridiculously cute that i did a mad mother bear dash for that kite and got my workout for the day, or more like for the week)
and some still shots (yeah right, I'm always on the move).
we did other things in oregon like wait for mom to get back from nerdy work meetings and eat at boring seafood restaurants well past naptime and getting told over and over not to touch anything in glass shops. but this was by far the most photogenic. and let it go down in history that i threw no tantrums during these events,...ok, maybe just in the very picture with my bobsie that perfectly frames aunt josephine's house and the kite, oh and that other time when the adults wouldn't let me put sand in my eyes, and when the kite drifted out of my control...but those were minor. I was a kite flying angel and these pictures prove it (or at least override the maternal memories...that's why i've got another sibling on the way, eh? can't do nothing wrong when combining these cute blue eyes with a matching jacket and a propensity for kite flying)
