weekly exploits: waterfall monkey

i was told that we went on a cool hike in hawaii.

i mostly saw dad's back, not this panorama.

but don't worry, i kept dad aware that i was there.
hard to forget a monkey that whaps you with a leaf or stick or grass every 30 seconds
(many thanks to my aunts and uncles for providing me with weapons)

and then, we got to our destination and the grand-parental units, under my mother's direction, wouldn't let me free.

i just had to watch the big kids jump and play in the water, no fair.

but, I'm a wiggly monkey and eventually was permitted to touch the water.

and gradually, I wiggled out of all but the essentials: hat, shoes, and diaper.

what's this mom? it's a rock. are you that dense? i believe it's spelled R-O-C-K.
can we move on now that you have a picture?

you just try to photograph the scenery and i'll look cute in the foreground with my R-O-C-K

oh yeah! daddy has returned unscathed from his waterfall jumps!

but wait? does this mean i have to get strapped back in?!?!? i think i will need a bigger stick and many fruit snacks for the way back. commencing tantrum in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....we'll just pretend the hike ended at this happy reunion.
